Homodyne detection mixes a signal with a local oscillator at the same frequency. Homodyn does the same with product work — the model is not a guest feature sitting one octave away from the operation. It has to lock.

An LLM feature is rarely a feature. It is a change in where review sits.

01

The wrong studio

Most AI shows are recorded in the demo room. A prompt, a wow, a thumbnail. Nothing in that room has a queue, a regulator, or a person whose Friday depends on the output being checkable. Homodyn is recorded closer to the floor.

02

Lock, don't layer

A language model layered onto a product is a second oscillator. You hear the beat — support tickets that sound smart and are wrong, dashboards that summarise the wrong week. Lock means the model's job is the same job a human already had, with a deterministic fence around it.

What you will get

Cuts from shipping: the constraint, the rejected alternative, the cost I accepted. Each episode has chapters, field notes, and a trail back into writing or a project on this site.
